In 2006 Cornèr sponsored, for the first time, an event which is very different to the others we
sponsor.
There was no music or journalism involved, in the strict sense of those words; instead the
theme was crime and mystery writing. The programme comprised a wealth of events ranging from
interviews and testimonials to showings of films.
The event took place between 10th and 12th May in Massagno, at the Scuole di Nosedo, with
films being shown at the Cinema Lux.
Cornèr Banca was the main sponsor of the whole event, and in particular of the evening
dedicated to Freidrich Dürrenmatt, with the participation of Anna Ruchat (Premio Chiara 2005),
readings by Antonio Ballerio, and presentations by Mario Botta and Charlotte Kerr. And finally the
showing of Sean Penn’s “The Pledge”, 2002, with Jack Nicholson. The other evenings were dedicated
to Loriano Macchiavelli, Andrea Fazioli and Gianrico Carofiglio.
