The series of public conferences organised by the European Journalism Observatory (EJO) of the
University of Lugano continued, supported and sponsored by our Bank.
The event “Il giornalismo oltre l'attualità. L'arte di raccontare la Storia” (“Journalism
beyond current events. The art of narrating history”) took place on Monday, 6 February.
Presentations were given by Mario Cervi, publisher and former director of Il Giornale, author
with Indro Montanelli of the series entitled “La Storia d'Italia” (“A History of Italy”) and Marco
Zatterin, editor of La Stampa; Marcello Foa, journalist and co-founder of the EJO, acted as
moderator.
The renewed agreement for sponsorship of the series of public conferences at the University,
under which our Bank is the exclusive partner, forms part of our policy of supporting local
cultural initiatives.
